NAHRO President
NAHRO staff do not make arrangements for the President. Please use the form above to submit your request for the President's participation directly.

Chief Executive Officer
The Chief Executive Officer, Adrianne Todman, is usually requested to deliver the keynote address or the Washington Update.

Policy and Program Development Staff
Members of the NAHRO Policy and Program Development staff (Georgi Banna, Tushar Gurjal and Eric Oberdorfer) speak to their areas of specialty, usually at a concurrent or breakout session. They can also provide, as necessary, a general legislative or Washington update in a breakout or plenary session. Click here for a list of staff responsibilities by subject area. Except in extraordinary circumstances, no more than one NAHRO staff person will be scheduled to attend a single conference. As the Director of Policy and Program Development, Georgi Banna reviews and approves requests involving Policy and Program Development staff.

Congressional Relations, Public Affairs and Field Operations
The Congressional Relations, Public Affairs and Field Operations staff (Tess Hembree) provide Washington Updates, the latest news from Capitol Hill, presentations on Legislative Advocacy and NAHRO's Housing America Campaign. The CEO reviews and approves requests involving Congressional Relations staff.

In order to assure fair consideration of their requests, Regions and Chapters/State Associations are strongly encouraged to submit them at least 120 days in advance of the date of the event at which participation by NAHRO staff is requested. Initial decisions regarding staff participation will be made approximately four months before the event dates, although requests received at a later time will be considered as received. Please use the form below to request staff participation.

NAHRO President

The host is expected to pay:

  1.  airfare
  2.  ground transportation
  3.  meals
  4.  hotel accommodations.

The President would appreciate the host providing ground transportation to/from airport/hotel, if a convenient shuttle or cab is not available. Please note availability on the form.

Chief Executive Officer
NAHRO will pay airfare. With respect to hotel accommodations, if the Region/Chapter does not earn complimentary rooms and is unable to offer same to the CEO, NAHRO will pay hotel accommodations as well.

NAHRO Policy and Program Development Staff and the Congressional Relations, Public Affairs and Field Operations Staff.
For 2019, the host is expected to pay:

  1.   hotel accommodations or mileage if speaker will drive to event.

NAHRO will provide per diem for meals and incidentals. Staff would appreciate the host providing ground transportation to/from airport/hotel, if a convenient shuttle or cab is unavailable. In order to reduce paperwork, the host organization will be requested to purchase any necessary airline tickets in consultation with participating NAHRO staff.

There will be occasions in which it is not possible for NAHRO staff to participate in an event. In addition, a Region or Chapter/State Association may, in the interests of economy, wish to avoid the costs of travel and lodging for speakers. In this regard, please be advised that national NAHRO now has the capability to conduct interactive webcasts to Regional and Chapter/State Association meetings and conferences.

Conceding that a webcast is not equivalent to a personal appearance by staff, it does, nonetheless, provide an alternative – and cost-free method of presenting information in an interactive setting when travel out of the office is not feasible. The use of a webcast also allows for participation by several NAHRO staff members where appropriate to a presentation. When a particular request cannot be accommodated, NAHRO may suggest participation by webcast.
